Theme: Exploring the transformations, alignments and adjustments necessary to elevate the capacity of Africa’s Agricultural productivity sustainably.


Africa has the highest food deficit, and is listed as the least food producer, yet by 2030, it is expected to record the highest population growth world over. These challenges, also provide huge opportunities for Africa to elevate its productivity levels.

Africa is also known to be the only continent that has 60% of its last, uncultivated. How then, can we utilize the resources available to increase Agricultural productivity sustainably and ensure 100% food security in the continent?

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Irrigation, KALRO, HIVOs, AGMARK and Brooke East Africa and Savistine Limited have partnered to form the organizing committee for the Conference on Africa’s Agricultural Productivity (CAAP), for sustainable food security. The conference is set for 8th & 9th October 2019 at the KALRO Headquarters in Loresho- Nairobi.


  • To find ways to encourage more small farm owners to venture into sustainable food production for local food security.
  • To highlight replicable solutions  that can help African Farmers to increase agricultural productivity in  the face of harsher climate
  • To interrogate the way policies and partnerships are shaping the Agricultural  productivity  efforts in Africa.

Delegates shall engage in deeper conversations and share impactful and replicable solutions that will lead to increase in food productivity in effort to achieve zero hunger in the continent.
